As New York continues to roll back their lockdown orders, our team would like to remind all patients that we have begun to schedule elective surgeries. We want to assure all past, current, and prospective patients that we have taken advanced safety precautions to keep our patients safe and protected. If you are feeling any pain or discomfort, we encourage you to make an appointment as your health and safety is our top priority.
We have taken steps to safely resume elective procedures in accordance with guidelines outlined by a joint statement from the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Association of periOperative Registered Nurses and the American Hospital Association. Our health and safety measures have been elevated to an even higher standard, so patients should feel comfortable getting the surgical and nonsurgical care they need. Below are a few examples of the ways we are keeping our patients protected:
- Screening patients for COVID-19 symptoms before their appointment or surgery. A temperature check will be administered upon arrival.
- Ensuring all of our medical staff have adequate access to masks, gowns, and other PPE to suit up with new sets of PPE for every surgical case.
- Increasing our sterilization methods to help ensure all areas patients come in contact with are properly sanitized.
- When applicable, allowing patients to wait in their cars as opposed to our waiting rooms to adhere to social distancing protocols.
- All patients who enter our facility are required to wear masks.
